Sentinel is a free app from Askalon INDUSTRIES, currently in beta.
Leave an old phone at your window and it listens for drones.
We’re inviting a small group to test it, share feedback, and help shape the final version before public launch.
Set it and forget it. Place an old phone at your window, plug it in, and Sentinel starts listening immediately.
Real detection, not a demo. Every alert comes from Askalon’s AI recognizing an actual drone acoustic signature, live.
Free, because it should be. No payment, no catch, no data sold. Just a network that keeps people aware.
What Sentinel does
Drones have changed what it means to be safe. They are cheap, quiet, and hard to detect. Radar misses them. Radio-detection fails against modern drones that fly on cellular networks.
Sentinel takes a different path. It listens. Every phone running Sentinel becomes a passive acoustic sensor. Together, they form a network that hears what other systems cannot.
How it works
1/ Listen.
Place a spare phone at a window. Sentinel runs quietly in the background, listening to the sky.
2/ Detect.
Incoming audio is analysed against Askalon’s library of drone acoustic signatures. If a match is found, Sentinel records the time and approximate location.
3/ Alert.
You receive a push notification. The detection is added to the live map so everyone in the area can see it. Why acoustic detection
What makes Sentinel different
| Sentinel | Radar | RF | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Detects 4G / cellular drones | Yes | No | No |
| Works from a phone | Yes | No | No |
| No special hardware | Yes | No | No |
| Passive, undetectable | Yes | No | Yes |
| Free | Yes | No | No |
Two ways to use Sentinel
1/ Windowsill.
Your phone becomes a sensor. Set it at a window, pole, roof, plug it in, and let it listen around the clock.

2/ Proximity alerts.
Draw a zone around your home on the map. If a drone is detected inside it, Sentinel sends a push notification immediately.
Why we built it
Askalon’s mission is to protect people from robotic threats.
Our Juno sensors already guard critical sites across Europe.
Sentinel extends that protection to everyone, for free, because awareness of what is in your sky should not be a privilege.
Sentinel is currently in beta. We’re building it together with early testers, and every round of feedback shapes the version that ships.
Leave your email to join the beta test group. We’ll reach out with access details and use your feedback to improve Sentinel before it launches publicly.
